We store what we need to run the service and nothing more. Your conversations are not used to train models unless you switch that on yourself, and it is off by default. You can export everything or delete everything from Settings, Advanced.
To run conversations and keep character memory working, to bill you, to catch abuse, and to work out which parts of the product are worth building on. Legal basis is contract for the first two, legitimate interest for the rest, and consent where we ask for it.
Characters keep a summarised memory of a conversation so they can pick it up later. That summary lives with your account, is never shared with other users, and is deleted with the thread. Clearing a thread removes it immediately and irreversibly.
Infrastructure, payment and email providers who process data on our instructions under contract. We do not sell personal data, and we have never received a government request we could not disclose.
You can access, correct, export or delete your data, object to processing based on legitimate interest, and complain to your data protection authority. Export and delete are self-service in the app. Anything else goes to privacy@akev.app and we respond within 30 days.
AKEV is not for anyone under 16. If we find an underage account we close it and delete the data.
Material changes get 30 days notice by email. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
