1. What AKEV is

AKEV is a service for building and talking to software characters. A character is a configured model, not a person, not a licensed professional, and not a substitute for one. Nothing a character tells you is medical, legal or financial advice, however confidently it says it.

2. Your account

You need an account to publish a character or keep conversation history. You must be at least 16, and you are responsible for anything done through your account. Keep your sign-in method to yourself. If you think someone else has access, unlink the method under Settings, Linked accounts straight away.

We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, and we will tell you why unless telling you would undermine an investigation.

3. What you may not build

Characters on AKEV must not:

• Impersonate a real, identifiable person, living or recently deceased, without their clear consent.
• Target, harass or sexualise a private individual.
• Sexualise anyone who is, or appears to be, a minor. This is enforced without exception.
• Give instructions for weapons, self-harm, or serious crime.
• Present themselves as a real human being to someone who has not been told otherwise.
• Reproduce a copyrighted work at length, or exist mainly to route around a paywall.

We review reports and we remove things. Serious breaches end the account, and where the law requires it, we report them.

4. Who owns what

You keep ownership of the text and configuration you write. By publishing a character you grant AKEV a licence to host it, display it, and serve conversations with it, and you allow other users to branch it if you left branching enabled.

Branching keeps the original creator credited. Turning branching off is permanent for versions already created under it.

5. Your account

Closing an account removes the characters and conversations stored with it. That cannot be undone.

6. Availability

AKEV is provided as it is. We aim for high availability and we do not promise it. Features change, characters get retired by their creators, and model behaviour shifts over time.

7. Liability

To the extent the law allows, AKEV Systems is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is capped at what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.

8. Changes

We will give at least 30 days notice by email before any change that materially reduces your rights. Continuing to use AKEV after that counts as acceptance.
